I was setting up my computer today and the first thing I noticed was when I tried to sign in to my Microsoft account. A CODE number was required instead of a PIN which was required on my other computer with updated Win software. So I had to create a new account with a code number. I have several web browsers installed, as well as antivirus and registry software that I've been using for years. I went into settings to check for Win 10 updates I had. I installed them and rebooted. When the computer restarted, I only saw the HP logo on the monitor and nothing else. I let the computer sit for 20 minutes and no change. When installing Windows software that requires a restart, you should see a spinning circle along with a message that the software is being installed, and don't turn off your computer. Nothing but the logo on the screen. I ended up unplugging my computer and plugging my old computer back in.
