I have a half gig download speed. If you plug this into a 1TB SSD, the download speed drops to less than 2MB. Transmission speed on SSD 2 MB. Disconnected and used a shorter cable of the same type as the SSD and internet download speed > 250 Mbit/s. Write speed on SSD 750 MB. Plug this cable back into the 2MB SSD. These speeds are designed to transfer files and download anything from the internet to a laptop, even if it's not written to the SSD. After the third try I gave up. The cable seems well built, maybe it just got caught badly, but not worth going back.
