requires this tool. The last filter I installed was the Purolator which seems a little smaller than everything else. My resin/composite key kept slipping off despite my best efforts. I bought another metal one from my local parts store, same story, it just kept sliding. The XtremepowerUS wrench bites like a pit bull and removes the filter with ease. The more force used to remove it, the stronger it grips. The filter element was dented when it was removed. The tool can also be used to install, but I don't recommend it. The rest of the keys will handle the installation. The black adapter pictured above is a 3/8" to 1/2" adapter. This is a must-have for any "wrench" toolbox.
