When Covid hit my barber couldn't trim my beard any longer, and I wear my beard fairly long. I had tried trimming with scissors but anyone that has tried to trim hair looking in a mirror knows what that's like. I was really hoping these would allow me to trim my beard at a consistent length until I could get it professionally done again. I mainly wanted the 2" guard to keep my beard as long as possible. The results were less than expected. For whatever reason the hair doesn't cut evenly and the results almost look like I used scissors anyway. Even though I followed my face while trimming there were areas that were not smoothly faded around. Not earth shattering, as I had to do some followup trimming to fade it in, but it wasn't as easy as I hoped. Back when I wore it shorter I could use a number 2 guard and the beard looked well shaped. Something about using a 2 inch guard doesn't give the same results.
