If the structure was a little easier it would have 5 stars! However, this is a very GOOD drawing/arts and crafts table! I ordered another brand similar to this model. It was a terrible table and a very cheap industrial table! It only had one rocker arm and was so flimsy that the first time it was lifted it collapsed and detached from the table top. Well, this table I'm reviewing is NOT like the other one at all! It has two very strong adjustment levers for tilting the table top. Both worktops (main and side) have a beautiful textured finish and a flat/matt finish. They appear to have a rubbery texture that gives a good grip to whatever is on the countertop. I do paracord projects and also paint on canvas a lot. I need something where I can do both. This table allows me to carry out all my projects. It's solidly built. It has a body and parts made of metal (aluminum). The countertops are most likely made of hard-pressed chipboard covered with a rubberized laminate. Adjustable levers are pretty strong and easy to adjust. To raise, simply lift the top of the table and adjust to desired incline. If you want to drop it you have to lift it all the way up and. Lower to desired position. My only complaint about this table is how difficult it is to put together. Why? Because some of the pre-drilled holes are either in the wrong place or so misaligned that it won't come together unless two people assemble it! Corner pieces at the bottom corners of the tabletop, used with curved adjustment arms. By taking a hammer and tapping it lightly we were able to position them correctly to properly assemble the raise and lower arms. On the main part of the table, the holes for mounting the box that holds the boxes are staggered. If you put the box in the bottom hole (staggered) first, and then proceed to assemble the box, you can slightly bend the handles of the box to fully assemble it. Again, this requires two people as one person has to attach the parts very tightly to allow the long bolts to go all the way through the holes. We also had to use a hammer to drive the final screw through its hole to attach the top box's iron lath. This offset the holes in the top of the side table in one corner. With a bit of fiddling, we were able to screw in the last screw to attach the side table top. (Don't like proper building terms like catch? LOL) Overall this is a good desk/drawing table. I warn you that you shouldn't wear everything on the go. If you tighten everything along the way, assembling this table will be much more difficult than it is now. Wait until you have everything together and then fully tighten everything. This will save you a lot of time and most likely, will prevent the invention of new swear words :) My husband invented 3 new words! I had a pretty good laugh at her! Well if you have to assemble this yourself you should invest in a good pair of channel locks if you don't already have them. Believe me. You will need them! You'll also need a hammer, a Phillips screwdriver, and an Allen key that comes with various screws, nuts, and bolts. I also had to use separate nuts and a couple of bolts, as the package was damaged with all parts and one of the self-locking nuts and 2 screws was missing. The box the table came in had several holes, some of which were sealed with tape. I'm not sure if it's from the shipping company (UPS) or if the people who ship it taped it over. Despite this, one of the nuts and two screws were missing when the table arrived. Luckily I keep extra nuts and bolts from old projects or products when they get thrown away just in case those things happen. Luckily I had the right nuts and bolts to complete the table assembly. A corner of the table was broken off. Some black paint covered it. The table also comes with a stool. There were two holes in this thing who were in the wrong place. I had to drill new holes to put them together. Needless to say, it is not used by the human buttocks. I'm going to repurpose it to use as a cat perch. I think I'll add some scratching posts. lol.
