At first I was afraid to use the set because it was so new and had all these rules! But I've adapted and have used each of them at least a few times since then. The lid handles will get hot after being on the burner for a while. But it wasn't enough to burn me. My big complaint is the cleaning of the lids. Things (food, water, etc.) tend to get into the extremely difficult-to-reach space between the glass and the metal edge. I don't know if I'll ever achieve perfect cleanliness. I don't use a dishwasher and soaking doesn't do much good. The only solution I've had success with is to put an antibacterial cloth in the room and try to "scrub" it with the textured side. Then clean completely. A very annoying process if you ask me. But if anyone reads this and finds a solution, please let me know!
