Review on WiFi router TP-LINK Archer C6, black by Micha Banasiewicz ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

I decided to switch to a TP-LINK Archer C6 from a ZYXEL Keenetic Giga II, which had served me well for more than 5 years, because the ZYXEL Keenetic Giga II began to blur, stutter, and overheat when simultaneously providing Internet access to 5 or more devices (due to the remote work of all family members, this turned out to be critical ).

Pros
  • 1. A very straightforward configuration if the service provider is responsible for automatically configuring the network. 2. An extremely user-friendly and understandable administration page. 3. Bands of 2.4 and 5 GHz, with a total of 4 antennas. 4. The results that were provided are very similar to the ones that were declared. 5. Quite an intriguing physical presentation.
Cons
  • 1. Why is this box so large? :) 2. If the measured speed in the 5 GHz band is almost the maximum that the receiver is capable of (95 megabits with a 100 megabit network card), then in the 2.4 GHz band I observe a significant decrease in speed on the device that is not in the line of sight (40 out of 100 Mbps / sec), despite the fact that an external omnidirectional antenna of 8 dB is installed on it. I have not yet resolved this matter to my satisfaction. 3. The range of available channels is restricted.

With its pros: Easy setup from phone app. Different cons: Cuts the speed by 2 times over wifi, the 5 Hz mode only works next to the router. Design.
