Review on Hot Tools Taifun Tourmaline Turbo by Gelin Battle

Revainrating 4 out of 5

High quality, powerful, sleek/professional look

First of all I would like to say that this is by far the best hair dryer I have ever used. Is it worth the high price? I think it depends who you are. It's a good weight but not too heavy. It looks like a solid professional device - it is comfortable to hold - I really like the matt black color and the stainless steel look. Looks like a professional tool. The concentrator and diffuser jets are good but fairly standard. Everything is well packed. There was no damage or defects upon arrival - this thing is mighty! You can dry your hair quickly. I have no complaints about it - love the button settings - there's a low/high speed setting, as well as a low/high temperature, as well as a cold shot button. - The printed words for settings don't seem to get erased. I hate when this has happened in the past with previous dryers I've had. The cord is definitely long enough for my liking, but surprisingly it's not a swivel cord. I haven't had any problems with the cable so far. - Not a problem either, but for the price it would be nice if the cord had velcro attached and not just a little pliable piece of plastic that looks like a bread tie. I was very pleased to see that they included a small storage pouch. It's so soft, it feels like velvet or something, and it has laces on it. Obviously it's a hair dryer that makes noise, but I don't think it's excessive or noisy than other less powerful hair dryers. I was so apprehensive when I first tried it because I recently ordered a hair dryer that seemed perfect until I noticed there was a vacuum in the back sucking up all of my hair as I sprayed. Of course it was uncomfortable and painful. Of course, if you put your hand on the back of this hair dryer, it has vacuum suction, but luckily the company has designed it well and included some kind of filter to prevent it from sucking hair. I literally tried to tuck my hair in just to see - to no avail. I'm definitely happy. Anyway, I really have no real complaints about this hair dryer. The current price is $95.15. I've never spent that much money on a hair product, but I know a lot of people do. So I can't honestly compare this to another similarly priced product to tell you if it's worth the price. I give 5 stars based on my experience with the product. It really feels durable like it's going to last a long time. I will definitely update this review if any problems arise. I hope my review was helpful in some way and if so I'd like to know - thanks!
