I like having a standalone flashlight. I have other similar tactical flashlights. However, the flashlight is not actually blocked. I jumped over the curb and dropped the flashlight. It was daytime and went unnoticed for the next 4 miles. But I returned and was lucky enough to be easy to find when the lights came on. Realizing the risk of displacement, I wrapped the elastic around my back, thinking it wouldn't slip out then. Oops. He needs mega strong tape that hooks in the front, wraps underneath and is all the way back. I judged the battery life to be good, but that's based on previous experience with flashlights with a 18650 battery, so that's a guess. The included batteries are lower capacity than the available 18650 batteries, but based on how long my batteries last on a single charge, they should meet your expectations.
