Review on πŸ”Š Vega A/V Systems 24” Steel Speaker Stands - Heavy Duty, Fillable Base for Medium to Large Bookshelf Speakers - Set of 2 with Carpet Spikes - 11" x 11" 4mm Steel Base, 6" x 6" Speaker Pedestal by Edgardo Ennis

Reliable stand at a good price.

The stand works well and appears very solid and well built. One missing feature is that there isn't the option to hide the speaker wire inside the stand like some competing stands do. Also, the screw heads that hold the bottom panel protrude a bit, so it can't just lie flat on the floor. It's not a problem if you use spikes, but I have hardwood floors and didn't want to use spikes, so I bought 8 packs of $5 "Magic Sliders" and glued them to the floor, which works fine for me. The stand is pretty sturdy and heavy on its own, but the padding makes it even stronger. I poured 6000 BB into each tube to make it hard. Also, I'd love it if the top plate (or bottom plate) had two more screw holes that would allow you to rotate it 45 degrees relative to the bottom plate, as that would allow for a bit more positioning flexibility (I have my TV in a corner, so I want the base plate to be flush with the wall and the speaker at a 45 degree angle to the wall if that makes sense). This probably won't be a problem for most people, but it would be nice if Vega made an updated version of the stand. EDIT: The coasters they sell now are slightly different than the ones I bought. The pair I received had square bases with corners cut off, the current ones in the picture have rectangular bases with corners.
