Review on JOBY by Adam Wilson

As a professional videographer, I was eager to test out JOBY's cutting-edge accessories and see the ways in which they could improve the quality of my work. Having said that, my interactions with the company were, to put it mildly, less than satisfying. To begin, the standard of quality that I had anticipated from them was not met by their offerings. Although their GorillaPod tripod and Griptight PRO 2 mount were adaptable and simple to use, I had hoped that they would be more robust than they turned out to be. The joints on the tripod started to get loose after only a few uses, making it difficult to keep my camera steady on the tripod. On the other side, the mount was unable of firmly holding my phone in place, which resulted in footage that was shaken. Second, there was a problem with the company's customer service. When I tried to contact their support team to report the problems with the products, I was faced with responses that were not helpful and wait periods that were extremely lengthy. They appeared to be more interested in shifting blame away from themselves than in offering viable solutions to the issues I was facing. Last but not least, the fact that their costs were greater than those of comparable products already available on the market made it difficult to argue in favor of making an investment in their accessories. Because of the problems I had with both their products and their customer service, I was unable to find a way to rationalize the expense. To summarize, I do not think that other professional videographers would benefit from purchasing JOBY. Anyone wishing to improve the quality of their videography work should not consider purchasing their items since, despite their unique nature, they are not durable, their customer service is terrible, and their costs are exorbitant.
