Although the bottle was sealed and looked sealed, the chalk was quite dry when I received it. I was able to pour in some liquid hand sanitizer and mix it to make it "liquid" again and then it worked fine. I've found that if I don't use the chalk for a while it dries up again and I have to mix in more liquid hand sanitizer, which is annoying but fixable. You can also use another type of rubbing alcohol, I think many online guides recommend rubbing alcohol. The cheap carabiner that comes with the kit is just that - cheap. It broke when I tried to attach a small bottle to my water bottle and it sucked. To be precise, I used it for bouldering. Well dried and in my opinion well finished. I don't think I'll be ordering it again as I can just buy some loose chalk and liquid hand sanitizer to mix in, but I'm guessing a small bottle at least.
