A year later my 10 lb Aussie is now 50lbs and we are still using this play pen. It now acts as a barrier fence so he can’t bark so close to the neighbor dogs and protects some pipes he likes to chew on. I’ve been able to do two things with the 16 panels! But it was great when he was little and couldn’t be just left alone in the yard and I worked from home. I was able to watch him from the window while he enjoyed the cool shaded grass. The only thing that would make this absolutely perfect is sturdier pegs/poles. They actually go into the dirt which is great, but when his 50lb bod starts rocking the fence to bark at the neighbor dogs, they can easily get bent. But I was able to reinforce by hammering down some wood so the pen can lean on it if necessary. If you all are considering a puppy, grab the 16 panel. You can use it for all sorts of purposes now and into the future. Note: we did wire the ends of the panels to a chain link fence and a metal post, so they are not just free standing at the moment.
