Perfect for our sons science projects. I had to make simple patterns. We had no trouble connecting 9 volt batteries to their circuits. We've done various projects from connecting wires to resistors and LEDs to making a simple buzzer to play with (projects we found on a well-known battery manufacturer's website if you're interested). The battery manufacturer had instructions for making "battery packs" that used paperclips, but they failed miserably (I don't know why). Luckily we scrapped that idea and used these clips for 9V batteries instead, which made these projects work great. Depending on the project, we used a variety of methods to connect the negative and positive terminals of the latches to the wires for the circuits, and all worked great (twisting the wires with tape, soldering, or using alligator clips).
