I think . You get what you pay for.

My 3 year old wanted gold shoes, preferably with glitter. I went through a few rounds of buying and returning various sneakers on ebay from brands I was unfamiliar with (ie it wasn't Nike/Reebok/Saucony etc but brands that probably only sell on ebay). because of). It took me a lap to find the right size, but even then my daughter took a few steps and said something hurt. In the end I gave up trying to find gold shoes and went for real sneakers from a really famous brand: Saucony. Turns out, purple sneakers with a touch of pink are just as acceptable from an aesthetic point of view. Also, when I put them on for the first time: no complaints. They are very comfortable, easy to put on, they are supportive, she loves to run fast, she loves them and I love them too. And funnily enough, one of her playmates has the exact same sneaker (totally appropriate), just with the purple-pink reversed. So I must be doing something right. Not counting all the returns on ebay.
