We bought this and other art supplies as a gift for our 86 year old uncle. He began oil painting as a therapy when he suffered a massive heart attack in 1972 and became 100% disabled. He kept painting and painting until his wife fell ill a few years ago. She and his only son, 2 brothers and others recently died in heaven (18 months). About a month after the last funeral, he began drawing and drawing with colored pencils. It helps him get through difficult times. He went to the local craft shops but the prices for good oil paints, canvases etc were too expensive for him on his limited or low income (I am 100% disabled). and since 2009 in bed).
