Excellent jug. The plastic is thicker than most and feels very durable. If you fill to the lid, this pitcher will hold 2/3 gallons. If you fill before the first timestamp (7am), that's 1/2 gallon. When transfusing, fill to the cap or use fewer ingredients since the brew tube is bolted to the bottom of the drinking cap. With that in mind, I like the brew tube screws in the drink cap as you can remove them without having the huge hole that most other types fit and rotate in. After a while, the brewing of the ingredients can become quite uncomfortable and the water can no longer be flavored. Over time, these ingredients can become bitter or spoil the taste. The cap insert has wide but thin holes to allow water to escape no matter which way the bottle is turned. When cleaning, the mouth is not wide enough for the hand. So if you need to scrape something, you need a long brush. . It is recommended not to leave fruit or seeds long enough for them to stick to the bottle. A shake of warm water and soap should always be enough for cleaning. The water flows at a comfortable rate and doesn't pour unless you tilt the jug far enough that more than 50% of the holes discharge water. The drinking lid has side grooves that also fit into the rim inside the neck of the jug, preventing the lid from falling into the jug. The bottle cap is sealed. After vigorously shaking the jug or storing the jug upside down, I had no problems with leakage. If you are chilling a jug I would recommend a sleeve as the jug creates a lot of condensation. Be sure to keep it on an absorbent stand if you don't want water to damage the table or other furniture. A great pot that I would buy again at any time and would happily recommend.
