Between this and the CalDigit TS3+ it seemed like a more deliberately designed product so I went with it. I have since replaced it with CalDigit and I will say I was dead wrong. Both products are very well designed and I would argue that CalDigit has the overall advantage. Stone Pro is specifically designed for MacBook users who want to place their MacBook on a rock and use their device in that position. If that's you, you'll love Stone Pro. For anyone looking for a hub they *don't* stand their laptop on, the form factor loses some of its appeal. The case doesn't have great thermal performance, takes up more desk real estate to maintain a flat aesthetic, and doesn't have a front interface, which is nice to have. In contrast, the CalDigit case is a true heatsink with a narrower footprint (much narrower if you place it vertically) and shares some front-panel connectors. If you're deciding between this and CalDigit, I would expect the average user to be happier with CalDigit.
