I bought Loctite 620 without having a specific application in mind. I just wanted it in my garage because I know how annoying loose bearings can be. I've only used it once so far. The backlash was so great that the bearing could only slide around the shaft by gravity. The result exceeded my expectations. The binding is so strong that if I need to replace it again I can't remove this bearing without a hammer. I was lucky enough to also purchase a Loctite bearing pin along with the 620. I will use the latter for a tighter fit of the bearings. I've also seen what Loctite 620's ability to fill a 0.015 inch (0.381 mm) diameter gap means. , along with its net strength of 3800 psi; Now I understand that this is not a universal cure for all diseases. Lower strength and/or lower gap-filling ability may be beneficial for a tighter fit. Next time I will also pay more attention to the temperature range. In short, Loctite bearing assemblies seem like serious business, so pay attention to their specifications when choosing the right bearing for a particular application.
