I wanted a towel that was better for my fine hair and also suitable for traveling, but I didn't want microfibre for environmental reasons. I've tried two different brands of linen and while I like a different brand of hair, I love the waffle texture that Thing Stories has on my other towels. I noticed that two of the three black towels had loose threads down the middle (instead of stitching) which none of the neutral/natural towels had. The brand was quick to respond and said the threads could be cut without worrying about the integrity of the towel, but they would be happy to replace them if I wanted to. So far I have been happy with the towels and the response from the brand. I have just ordered more natural colors for face towels and towels. I hang them dry between showers, wash them gently with the same shampoo as my silk and tumble dry on low heat. I haven't noticed any shrinkage, although I've seen this as a problem at higher temperatures. The waffle structure means they aren't as rough as other new underwear and I think they look more interesting. The only downside I can think of is that they aren't as nice and warm after a shower as our cotton terry in the cold season or in a cold climate.
