Review on Travelon Anti-Theft Signature Slim Pouch (A V STRIPE): Your Ultimate Secure Travel Companion by Sandra Egan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Slim and compact, good for pockets and purses

Pros: - Great style: This is one of the few "travel bags" I've seen that doesn't look like a mini suitcase. The quilted pattern on the front flap is a lovely feminine touch. Casual enough for the day, yet stylish enough for a casual night out. Compact: Enough space to store your essentials (keys, wallet, tissues, etc.) BUT everything needs to be FLAT (see comment in CONS section). The main compartment has 3 credit card sized slots and a passport pocket (looks like it's lined with RFID anti-theft material), a zippered pocket about 5 inches deep, and a SMALL LED flashlight attached with a snap. The front quilted flap pocket (with magnet button closure) is lightly lined and approximately 6 inches deep. Between the front flap pocket and the main compartment is an open pocket with a crescent-shaped opening. This bag has NO clasp and is approximately 6 inches deep. There is another 6 inch deep zippered pocket on the back. - Anti-theft protection: Wire is sewn into the cut-resistant band. The wire makes the band quite stiff and you can definitely feel it. The strap detaches at one end so it can be attached to a chair etc. It is sewn at one end to the back of the bag and connects to the bag with a spring-loaded carabiner that locks with a curved tubular attachment. The zip in the main compartment can be blocked by a large lobster clasp sewn into the side of the bag. Cons: - Access to the carabiner that attaches one end of the strap to the bag is inconvenient. This feature is convenient for attaching the bag to a chair, etc., but it's not easy. I like it because it's hard to steal, but it's also inconvenient for the bag owner. The lobster clasp for locking or unlocking the main compartment zip is also difficult to access. Again, being able to zip up is nice, but it's a little frustrating. Again, this makes it difficult to hack but inconvenient for the user. This pack is only 2 inches thick (front and back) so everything you put inside needs to be FLAT. This pack gets lumpy very easily.
