I bought two of these before researching hamster needs thoroughly. I originally intended to pair a Ferplast cage with a larger one as a playpen, but ended up getting an 800+ square inch trash can from Home Depot. These tubes are expensive, have never been opened and cannot be returned. So, I'm stuck with two tubes that I no longer need. BUYER BEWARE!
