It was expensive. The cable plug to the power connection began to smoke. When I was able to reply, it started melting both the connection and the charging port on my iPad, turning it into a doorstop with no way to charge or access it since it's dead. The cable connector burned my hand when I tried to disconnect it from the iPad. The result was three parts. I also have no way of knowing if I can access any data as I have no idea what happened if something happened inside. The best I can say is that I'm glad I was home. Who knows how it could have ended if we hadn't been there!
