I had some trouble installing it on my Porsche Boxster's roll bar but was able to install it diagonally with the gasket removed. The big problem with the mount is that it's not very tight, which is why my old phone (LG G4, I use it mainly for video recording) occasionally tilts to one side when driving on the Autobahn. The phone case helped stabilize the phone and reduced the worst of the vibrations in the video (tracked vehicles have very little compliance in the suspension), but it still twitches. Another reviewer mentioned using tubing around the phone to insulate it. I may have to try.
