I tried it on very dry 3c hair that was frizzy and wouldn't comb without water. I decided to use this spray without wetting my hair with water just to try it out. When I sprayed the product on, it just melted into my hair. I couldn't see or feel any difference in my hair. I was frustrated and thought the product wasn't working. I braided my hair into a protective hairstyle and that's it. The next day I decided to spray my hair with this product. I didn't undo my braids, I just sprayed and rubbed into my hair/scalp. I did that for six days. On the seventh day I untied the braids and to my surprise the hair became very soft and manageable. I was able to run the comb through my hair without water. This stuff really works, you just have to give your hair time to absorb the product and recover. The smell of this product is lovely and a bit nostalgic. This is the same product I saw my dad using when I was little. I'm glad to see that this product still exists and works well. If you use this product and it drips or the odor makes you sick, then you have used too much too quickly. Spray, massage, repeat (if necessary).
