Review on Backrack 92517 Tonneau Adapter 02 09 by Seth Gomez

I purchased this kit for my original trunk to fit the tonneau cover on a Dodge Ram 1500 (Rebel) 2017. I confirmed the part number before purchasing Backrack (and Revain Garage) but found during installation that there were no guide plates for the risers to sit on (the original install kit that came with Backrack has a guide plate) with the 90 degree bend on the inside of the bed rail. They can no longer be used after you mount the tonneau on the inside rail and attach the backrack rail plates with the 45 degree bend the outside of the rail.) ...realized the oversight after my tonneau was installed and I reinstalled my backrack, the instructions clearly stated NOT without rail plat to install and they were not included in the kit. I called Backrack and they said the kit I bought was discontinued and the new one came with the correct guide plates. Luckily Backrack has very good customer service and they sent me the rail plates for free despite having disclaimers throughout their site for buying from "unauthorized" suppliers. Overall, I was happy that the issue was resolved at no additional cost, but disappointed that I had to schedule another appointment to reinstall my backrack while waiting for the correct parts to arrive.
