Captain Cat just had emergency surgery for FLUTD. He was miserable in all electronic collars. He spent all his energy ripping them out like a furry Houdini or begging us to take them off. He's supposed to wear the collar for 3 weeks but we didn't think we'd last 3 days. He neither ate nor drank. But we tried this one. And it was a complete turnaround. He can eat and drink more easily. He's so much more comfortable. He's still a cat and therefore not a fan, but he doesn't spend all his time fighting him. And above all, he does not come to his seams. The edge of the collar is slightly soiled after going to the toilet, but it can be easily washed off with soap and water. One thing is worth mentioning. The little switch that comes with the cord isn't particularly reliable. I have to pull the cord quite taut, attach the latch and then tie it to lock the collar securely. If the cord is slack, he can just kick and pull everything out. I recommend keeping an eye on your pet for the first 24 hours so you know how to tighten it tightly so your pet is comfortable but can't run away. We bought the medium size. Our cat is a fairly large male weighing 15 pounds, very strong.
