My insurance company usually fixes chips/cracks on windshields as they usually do this for free hoping to cover the cost of replacing the windshield to avoid. However, I have an older car (a Jeep) that I only have third party insurance on, and I hit a window with a rock recently. I figured I had little to lose by trying to fix this myself so I ordered this kit. I won't say my repair equates to a professional job, but it's not that bad and good enough that I don't think anyone would actually notice it as a chip without looking closely. It just looks like I have a bug on my window. which I think is more due to the fact that this is my first attempt at using it. I suspect if I do enough of this (I hope I don't have to) then my results will be even better. I would recommend others to try this if your insurance company won't cover the cost of chip repairs.
