Review on 🚽 Water Saving 2-Inch Toilet Flapper Replacement for American Standard 7381129-200.0070A Universal Flapper and Chain with Float – High Performance, Easy to Install, Flush Valves by Timothy Richmond

This is an UPDATE to my original review I wrote shortly after purchase on March 9, 2021:________________________________________________ These are not OEM (American Standard) valves. They are made by Hibbent. Today (7/28/21) I had the opportunity to replace the last factory valve I had as it was leaking after 1 year of use. These Hibbent valves are not designed like the OEMs, although they require the same bead-to-chain float setting on the included chart. This setting flushes the toilet twice, using an incredible amount of water. I then reset the chain length to the same as the OEM. This is also a double freeze. I then adjusted the water level in the tank 2 inches below the correct setting. No help = double flush. THEN I removed the float entirely as suggested by the Hibbent map. No changes. I will now write to the company about it and attach this review - whatever the cost. As per Revain policy, I cannot return the items - box of 2 sold 2 - after April 8th, 2021. NOW my problem is becoming a true OEM replacement valve as I need a permanent supply of them for 3 toilets in my house The valves only last a year or two at most before they start leaking.
