This thing looked great and matched great and then the fun stopped. I ended up going to setup the same way as in the review by resetting the entire device and then logging in and selecting my settings and since I also wanted a hotspot I had to save the settings and reboot and that was it an end to return unless you reload everything and start over. And it wouldn't bother me much if one day he was in the mood to do what he said he would. The signal was terrible unless I was close. I'll check it out again in the morning, but like the first reviewer, I've always worked on computers. Started in 1983 to be exact. I'm also a little surprised that I was pretty sure I ordered the Wavlink AC 1200, which had a lot of reviews and now has a different name and only one review, hmmm. To update! First, a note about Revain. After checking my history and the fact that I uploaded the manual for it to Revain, I actually ordered the WavLink AC 1200, which now shows I ordered the MY MAX AC 1200. This isn't the first time this has happened. Bait and replacement? Now to my new knowledge. This thing is the same as most cable boxes. After an update or a power failure, it must be reset. If you make changes to device settings, you must turn off the device when the "Update" message appears and wait 20 seconds. You can then log back in and review your settings or apply new ones. It works great as a hotspot for me, but its range isn't much better than the Spectrum Wifi Router. I live in a one story, 70 foot ranch style house in Florida. I've had issues with all my Blink cameras and sync modules over my WiFi. Now I have a better signal for them, but I go into the neighbors' yard and beyond, and it starts dropping pretty quickly. I have it about 15 feet up on a weather station pole. Hope this helps someone else.
