I have a vanity where I do my hair and makeup. Hair products and powders may make the surface of the dressing table a little dirty. I needed a table runner that was mess free but machine washable. It worked perfectly. The colors match the color scheme of my "travel room" where the dressing table is located. It covers most of the top of the dressing table. I put hair and makeup on it. Toss in the washing machine in a laundry bag on a cool gentle cycle. I hung it out to dry and it came out the same as the day I bought it. It looks very unique.
