I got this set because I was drawn to several of the bright, luscious-looking colors that pop up here and there in this box. And I know it is a relatively inexpensive set, so I've not been disappointed. There really are some nice vivid colors here, some with depth and with decent pigment.I originally thought that I would just go ahead and start with great quality water color paints, but then I read some reviews that suggested there was value in trying some of these cheap sets of paints. Practice, experiment, learn, feel free to use lots of paint--that was the message in those reviews and I took it to heart. So I am trying these cheaper sets first. I'm having fun. And I think that there are more worthwhile colors in this set than there are in some others.
