I thought it was a great unit until I tried mounting it to a cabinet using the typical 'insert screw head and slide' mounting system on the back. After trying a few different sized screws, I looked around at the plus-shaped screw holes to no avail. It seems that (at least the ones I received) have a design flaw that prevents most of the mounting screws from working with it. It's hard to describe with words so I hope the picture I've attached here helps. Basically the screw has a very, very small "edge" for the screw to slide under, so you can put the screw head in the middle of the "plus" and if the screw head is very small it won't slide into the 4 notches of the plus hole. Updated 01/13/18. The company has taken note of my critical evaluation. and contacted me immediately to try to solve the problem. They sent me some screws which, although a bit small for an exit bar of this size and weight, did the job of attaching the screws I had. I still think the plus shaped mounting holes need to be changed, but they work with the screws the company sent me. My recommendation to the company was that they either redesign the mounting holes or add screws that they know will work in the box. I really appreciate the company's efforts to fix the issue,
