A few years ago I got a big evaporator leak code on our 2002 Frontier V6 and when I checked the cap (usually what it is) I could see cracks around the seal so I'm ordering here a highly rated generic drug. It worked for a while, but every few weeks it would spit out code again. Come back. Check the cap, it was tight but I removed the cap and put it back on, cleared the code. and be good for weeks to a month or so. It just got old after a few years and I read somewhere that Nissan can be a little picky about the gas cap and that most aftermarket gas tanks can cause this so I went ahead and got a factory replacement. Haven't had any issues since and would highly recommend if you need a replacement.
