.Installation requires a little patience, but the original from Bose is no better in this regard. The trick is to press your fingernail against the hard foam ring at the base of the ear cushions where the tongue is in the plastic shell. Just start walking your way. You won't get it right the first time. You will be disappointed. Then you suddenly get it and it works great. I have changed the ear pads several times. Eventually, the vinyl covering over the foam and fabric will start to fall apart, spattering black specks at you. For half the price of a Bose original, I'm interested in durability and will reevaluate if it's less than Bose. . But these things are disposable for a reason!
