It's hard to find a full-fledged two-liter blender with a glass jar and even a powerful motor. Designed in Germany, this CSS block (Carl Schmidt Sohn) really hits the mark. With just a few impulses, it turns ice into snow. I have to do some work to find the best way to make it more like crushed ice. I love the fact that it has a chemically inert large 2 liter glass jar for blending juices and smoothies, but it also has a smaller stainless steel jar (good for small drinks and crushing ice). I haven't actually found a use for a rock jar/mug with an airtight lid and straw as I was hoping there would be a way to attach it directly to the blender (no). But if you like straw and screw top smoothies, this is for you. It's quite large, 18 inches including the lid, so it doesn't fit under our tall cabinets. But I expected that. I'll definitely update if it doesn't work.
