We bought this kinetic sand kit mainly because of the amount of sand for the price. It comes in a box that can be folded into the play area to contain the sand. It works, but you can't cover it to keep the sand from drying out, so we decided to use a cheap Tupperware-style container to store and play with. There are several beach toys in the kit that can be used with this sand and my 4 year old daughter loves making things with it. If you are new to kinetic sand and have a toddler, I highly recommend making this purchase. This allows children to learn and experiment with their creativity and also provides a different way to play. As long as you keep the sand covered between uses, it won't dry out. Once it dries it will begin to separate from the bond that holds it together and you'll see grains of sand around your desk or anywhere your kids play. Be aware of this.
