This case is superbly made, fits perfectly, looks very personable and is excellent value for money, especially when you see that other companies only charge for much smaller phone cases. But, and this is a big problem, mine absolutely stinks - I could smell it from the moment I opened it. So if you've ever been to a pig farm, you know how it smells. pig manure. Even my fingers stink after just a few uses. I know China is famous for their love of pork, maybe they do that with carcasses. Full Disclosure: My daughter also agreed that it smelled awful, but my wife didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. So it has to vary. And yes, I've owned a lot of new leather goods (cases, shoes, coats, etc.) and I know what new leather smells like. I contacted the company through their facebook page and they responded within hours asking for an order number so they could check but that was 20 days ago and they never said a word. However, I only gave them one star because a) it really is an excellent case in all other respects and b) the smell has diminished a bit in the last 20 days to the point where I can only smell it by sniffing it direct. , not a foot away, and my hands don't smell after holding them. Hopefully it won't smell like anything in a month or so. I have no idea if he came to me from a "bad" batch or they're all like that. YMMV. UPDATE: I've had it for about 6 months and the corner has cracked. It has never been dropped or abused but the picture shows that the plastic in the top right corner where the buttons are is very thin and after the buttons slowly started to be lost the entire corner has now fallen off. Need a redesign. My wife has the same case but for the iPad Air 4 and it has a much better design with the right corners wrapped in leather. This one won't hold you.
