The decoupling roll fell apart on his wife's caliber
There's not much to tell. On my wife's caliber, the decoupling reel failed. Removing the alternator was a hassle, but with the right tools, the old disconnect was instantly removed and bolted back on. It's a lot cheaper to fix than replacing the entire alternator.
