Yes! Yes! And uh-uh-uh-uh-uh! How many types of tea strainers have you tried? The Hubster and I tried at least half a dozen, and none of them satisfied us: an egg, a spoon, a cute little silicon figure, a ball, you know. They were either difficult to clean, leaked too much tea, or were awkward to use. This little man is almost perfect for Mary Poppins! It's made of stainless steel, so don't worry about oxidation. The mesh is very thin to prevent the tea from leaking out. But it's also stronger than wire mesh, so it feels super durable. I see no reason why it won't last very long. It's also very easy to use, from medium mugs to large "it's a cup or bowl" mugs. One reviewer (a guy who drinks tea from a beer mug - how cool is that!) brewed tea in an 8-cup Pyrex measuring cup with no problem. after the required amount of soaking and protecting the table or countertop. Someone mentioned using it as a strainer for lemons, vegetable oil and whatnot. great moment! I highly recommend this teapot: durable, practical and a great addition to your morning (or afternoon) tea.
