So I just received them yesterday I ordered them last week because I saw them on Facebook You know the ads In general, I would recommend this, but just take it with you somewhere, e.g. if you want to make it yourself, then read on. I thought you knew it was different. It looks really easy. I like the aspect of having a courtesy light and I think they were considered warning or emergency lights on the side of the door and I like that one side flashes and the lights at the bottom of the door stay the same so I did she turned on a 2004 GMC Sierra Extended Hood (I'm also familiar with LED bulbs and the adhesive used on their backs). I've used them to light up my mustang and trucks, I've used them on speakers to flash music etc.) So what was interesting was in the packaging, very simple instructions with pictures and two led strips and at the end of the strip is the wire exposed This is the first thing I've seen of LEDs coming with these weird pins and the perspective is that you should be able to stick them where your factory door light bulb is. We couldn't do that so mine was completely gone so I just had to connect them directly to the LED strips so I had to strip the wires. There is an extra wire hidden somewhere and if your door panels are tight you will need to loosen the door panels to insert the wire into the door. And hopefully it's long enough to reach mine, but if only it was 6 inches shorter. I would be pissed because my light was on the opposite side, here was the end of the LED cord. Yes it does matter which way they go because you can't just say oh I'll flip them when the red light is looking at them The bottom isn't on the outside, looks wrong so the glue is sticky , but it's not as sticky as some LED strips I've bought in the past, so I had no problem with it sticking right away, but when I got to the part where it starts going up or down , depending on how you started. I've had a problem with one side more than the other (you know, always like that when you're working with a car) and I think it depends on how you attach the LED tape. The way it curves had to look more like a J Turn And the only thing I can recommend for attaching the LED strip is to buy some of those 3 or 4 adjustable plastic clips, make sure they fit big enough to fit between your door two if you can't get three or four and some gorilla gel glue and just twist the bead and then take two clips and lower them a bit. and neat but not too tight to hurt anything just want to get a good hook. And let that shit heal for about two hours. It really helps get rid of all the dirt and grime from and around the door crevices. Leave to dry well. But after a little more time they seem to work fine, definitely fine. When you have everything you need, just snap in a few wire strippers and some Heavy Duty Gorilla Glue to apply to areas that might peel off Make sure the clips can hold problem areas with or without glue to make sure that the glue or glue if you need spot glue will hold well. I apologize for the long description but I'll try to explain it as best as I can
