With all my feral dogs over the years I've had to replace several doors. It holds up, but my boys are particularly tough on dog doors since St. Bernards tend not to understand the concept of "one at a time". Result? The edges of the flap begin to tear. From the first break to the exchange it can take more than a year (including storm), so it's tough. It's also easy to install. It'll take about ten minutes (more if the dogs help) and you'll be fine for a few more years. By the way, I'm getting an X-Large door flap. It's big enough to fit a 35 inch (at the shoulder), 160 lb St. Bernard, 120+ lb Bloodhound and a very round Golden Retriever with no problem.
