The cable is a bit narrow so it only goes one way. The blue light is bright and illuminates a corner. I'm not sure if that's the intention or if the plastic isn't thick enough. So I had to put tape on the corner to block the light. But easy to use, love the on/off bar. Only use 1 USB port so I can't comment on how well it works with multiple items. I bought it for its small size and the ability to turn it off.
