To be clear I have used Lifx Beam and this product as well as other Govee products. This one is just so much better in every way. I actually returned the Lifx beam after having connection issues, so I was thrilled to discover that Govee had created their own version. 1) Connectivity: Both Bluetooth and WiFi are used. Works well with Alexa and Apple HomeKit. Lifx, on the other hand, only had Wi-Fi connectivity and couldn't find my network after 2 days. I had to send them back. 2) Ease of use: Very easy to set up with the Govee app. Almost just plug and play. The app is vastly superior to the Lifx app and can be used to control other Govee products such as their light strips. turn it off.4) Price: Almost half the price of the better equipped Lifx Beam. Don't get Lifx Beam
