My hub does the job on a 2017 MacBook Pro and there is nothing to complain about. The feel and finish are impeccable, and the color is nearly identical to my MacBook in space gray. The hub only gets lukewarm even when used continuously throughout the working day and does its job perfectly. In my experience, it is completely different with inexpensive products from competitors and it certainly does not have a positive effect on the service life if such a hub is boiled out. We should also not forget that excessive heat also eats up (precious) battery power. Energy is wasted here. All interfaces work perfectly, HDMI with 4k@30Hz also without problems. I could not find any problems with WiFi or Bluetooth. Another big advantage is that this hub is permanently connected to the laptop with two USB-C interfaces, which ensures much more mechanical stability than hubs that only vibrate at one interface.
