I'm starting to think that, somewhere along the way, I've grossly misunderstood what a "laptop backpack" is. Either that or I've fallen through a wormhole into an alternate universe where people have radically different expectations of backpacks. What I want is a backpack that also has a secure pouch for a laptop. What I keep finding are backpacks barely big enough for a laptop and other gubbins, like a charger and a set of dongles (every laptop these days needs dongles) and maybe a spiral bound notebook.I got this one specifically because the photo makes it look decently thick. And compared to a lot of other laptop backpacks, it is, I suppose. There's room for a couple of spiral-bound notebooks! It's good for what it is. It's well-made, it's strong, the fit and finish are all top-notch, and if it were three inches wider I'd give it five stars and sing its praises. As it is, it's still a disappointment: not really big enough to be a proper backpack, just big enough for your laptop and a bit of other stuff. It won't do what I want it to do, which is replace my carry-on on a plane. But if that's all you want, it will do exactly what you need and it's nicely made.
