Review on 🚦 Radenso Pro M Radar Detector: Advanced False Alert Reduction, USA Support, GPS Lockouts, Red Light & Speed Camera Alerts, MultaRadar Detection by Daryl Fitch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

All in all a great radar detector

This is a quality windscreen detector that rivals the best. In addition to good filtering and range, it uses a GPS-based system to manually block false alarms. The two features it doesn't use are the directional arrow system in the alert and the automatic GPS lock. This is patented by Escort and will automatically block false alarms after passing many times. Pro M likes: Small size. really low compared to competitors. Excellent filtering. The only thing that gives the Pro M problems on the road is the Mazda CX-5. Its blind spot monitoring system will disable the detector, but I think it's only a matter of time before the firmware updates to fix this issue. Excellent range. It's not as sensitive as the Uniden R3, but the R3 is so chatty on Ka-band that I started ignoring it. Bad thing. Lots of customization options. Auto City mode changes sensitivity to your own settings below a predefined speed of your choice. Pro M Dislikes: Sometimes it's almost impossible to see the screen in bright sunlight. It's just not bright enough. There should be a setting for auto dimming by time. The camera's red light warning cannot be switched off automatically. Every other detector I've tried gives you a reading and that's it. This one beeps and then calls back, and there's no way to turn it off in settings. However, you can turn off the sound manually. There is no GPS lock on the power plug. What is more convenient than holding down the button on top of the detector for 2 seconds. Warnings like Uniden R3 cannot be selected. It doesn't matter because Pro M picked good ones that I don't think get annoying. I returned the Uniden R3 for this because it offers plenty of range but doesn't drive me crazy with false positives. To be honest this is a minority opinion as most people like the R3.
