This is a visually pleasing seat. The slow closing mechanism works well. I feel good. Of course, your experience may differ. I was particularly impressed by the anti-twist silicone seal that runs under each hinge. It seems far more reliable than any other seal I've seen before. The fastening system looks well thought out, but I'm a bit concerned that it might break due to the flimsy plastic that the nylon screws attach to the hinges. The time will show. The installation was very easy - due to the silicone seals, the screws did not have to be tightened further than with a light hand tightening. I didn't need any tools during assembly, not even a screwdriver. This is a good seat at a very reasonable price.
