I wanted to extend the WiFi signal to our backyard and chose the Linksys WHW0101P Velop Wall Plug-In to do it. Installation via the iOS app was far from intuitive. More detailed instructions would definitely help. After several failed starts, ending with application freezes or error messages, I was finally able to add the node to my system. It appears to be providing a strong signal in the backyard, but the speed appears to be slower than the main unit used prior to installing the Velop Wall plug-in. In fact, the overall speed now seems to be lower everywhere on the mesh network than before the device was installed! Online speed tests seem to confirm this. I have to decide if the extended range is a good compromise for the lower overall speed, but for now I'm a bit unhappy with the speed reduction. This along with the device setup issue is the reason for the 3 star rating which would otherwise be 4 stars or higher.
