Some quality issues

I've been using the Spinbrush electric toothbrush for a few years now and I appreciate its cleaning power and economy. I change my toothbrush head about once a month when the color of the brush indicates that the bristles are worn and can no longer clean effectively. I bought five boxes of replacement spinbrush heads (ten in total). However, after I used up about half my stash, I found that their shelf life varied. So far three brush heads have let me down - they just stopped moving when applied to my teeth, the motor worked fine. Replacing the brush head with a new one usually solves the problem, but not always for very long. However, the other brush heads in this group will function within their normal expected lifespan. Broken brush heads are clean, well rinsed and never clogged with toothpaste. They still have a distinct range of motion when I manually operate their mechanisms with my finger. Subjectively, the internal spring on failed heads seems weaker in my opinion compared to a new, working unit, but honestly it's hard to tell. I have tested defective brush heads on handles (motors) from two different series and as a result the problem is with individual brush heads. I didn't have this problem with the brush heads sold in pairs in (more expensive) blister packs at my local retail store (the brush heads came in pairs in small boxes with molded plastic inserts). Just a bad day of manufacture for the spinbrush or are those tips badly made fakes? I can not say. Let the buyer be alert.
